Poor fallen leaf,
you've had your day in the Sun.
You've seen the rain and Summer fun,
and now you lie there on the ground withering,
turning brown.
It's not your fault, old friend,
the trees have let you go.
The sky's have turned from blue to gray.
The rain has turned to snow.
With your death, you bring new life,
and Spring has yet to come.
Another life,
another leaf,
another day in the Sun.
